Checklist for Signers Before My Arrival
Prepare the Documents:
Gather all documents requiring notarization.
Ensure all necessary signatures are present (except for the notarial signature).
Identification:
Have at least one valid government-issued photo ID ready. Examples of valid IDs include:
California driver’s license
California identification card
U.S. passport
U.S. military identification card
Tribal identification card
For Jail Signings: If you are signing from a jail, a jail identification card or official documentation provided by the facility can be used. If no ID is available, credible witnesses may be required.
Review Documents:
Familiarize yourself with the documents but do not sign them prior to my arrival.
Contact Information:
Confirm that I have your correct phone number and address for any last-minute communications.
Location:
Ensure the meeting location is accessible and quiet enough for the signing process.
Timing:
Be punctual for our appointment. If you need to reschedule, please notify me as soon as possible.
Payment:
Prepare your payment method for notarization fees, if applicable.
Additional Parties:
Confirm the availability of any others who may need to sign or be present during the signing.
Questions or Concerns:
Write down any questions or concerns you wish to address during the signing.
